Check my website https:/jessystems.com for info on repairing this radio. This is one of the few internet references on the FT dx 100. I believe this radio to be a test marketing tool for the FT 101 as not many were sold in the US.
I found this radio in Canada and it was air ready when I got it. The tubes are 12BY7 and a pair of 6JM6's which can be found in matched pairs for not a lot of $$$.
That said, no attention was paid to DFMA (Designed for Manufacturing and Assembly) as repairing things is a nightmare. There are some parts that are literally inaccessible (soldered shut boxes).
The one QSO in the video had a good signal report
