What's The Frequency ?
The intention was to merely replicate Lidmotor's change of the 1K resistor to an inductor, on the 2 Pin Crystal Oscillator circuit.
Instead.....good things happened with no crystal at all !
To explain the large heatsink: Quite often, these circuits need a large metal mass to simulate an Earth grounding point. The human body often does well for that function.
I had originally attached the transistor Base to a clip lead and then the metal mass, but still had to touch the mass to get usable results. Hence the testing of the LED.
