Slider2732 | Long Runner 2 - Magnetically Cogged 2nd rotor - build @Slider2732 | Uploaded March 2019 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
Destined for a South facing windowsill, this build is a semi-step by step build of a 24/7, 365 day runner, to test the longevity of such designs.
To clarify, the circuit being used is from one of the shown waving flowers from the dollar store. The coils are also from them.
The 2nd rotor has had 2 small magnets placed over each original tiny magnet. The additional magnetism allowed the cogged rotor to lock on to the powered rotor at a further distance than planned.
After 6 hours, the 2 are still locked :)
