The US helping the Philippines in the fight against COVID-19 despite facing the same crisis back home.

AMERICA DONATED PPEs to Sulu, Philippines

The United States continue to reach out to the Philippines’ aid in the fight against Covid-19 in the Philippines. US soldiers under the Special Operations Task Force led by Captain Weston Bartkoski deliver boxes of personal protective equipment from the US Department of Defense in Sulu on Tuesday (June 02, 2020).

Governor Abdusakur Tan thanked the US for the generosity, despite them facing a similar crisis back home.

Sulu’s first confirmed case was announced on May 1st, where a 63 -year-old male, who died, turned out positive for Covid19.

This is not the U. S’s first time to extend a helping hand to the Philippines, on April 10 the Philippines received nearly 1,300 new cots and will also be receiving around Php 204 million ($4 million) in health assistance to help address the COVID-19 pandemic in Manila and around the country, according to the U.S. embassy in the Philippines.
