As it's almost December I thought i'd start the festive season with this magical song I 've just written, to accompany a recent mystical piece of art I created,. As some of you know, I started my own art business this year, and i'm now a professional British wildlife artist and so excited to be selling my work. The example in the picture is from my mystical art range that I love to do for greeting cards.
This song is really a poem that will be part of an illustrated poetry book i'm slowly writing, and hopefully may finish next year. It follows the adventures of ''Wise Whiskers'' The old hare of the north and the friends he meets along the way.
For those who are not aware what Triskele/triskelia means . If you look at my painting you will see the symbol faintly on the moon. It's an ancient symbol found on many neolithic standing stones particularly in Ireland and represents many things, but usually life, death and rebirth in the pagan beliefs. It's a very spiritual sign, and of course truly mystical.
Below is a link to the origins for this song. My original poem Old wise whiskers and also a link to my art site for those who may be interested

Lyrics
The snowflakes fall down, on the frozen white ground
The forest's asleep, not an owl, not a sound
But for one mystic evening, when the moon shines so bright
Look to the sky, for a wonderful sight
Paws pitter patter as the skate and they glide
And take to the air, with grace in their stride
They soar up to lunar, kicking their heels
As she guides them so fair, over mountains and fields
For one night in winter, with magic to share
The moon she shone brightly
On the Triskele hares
They fly and they glimmer, as the stars pass them by
And they dance and they shimmer like gold in the sky
Then they land with the snowflakes on this eve that's so rare
Blink and you'll miss them
Those Triskele hares
