This is a re upload that I have returned to, as I'm once again enjoying reading my favourite classic, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, and was inspired to write this poetry/song because of the book.
Haworth, in Yorkshire UK, where the Bronte's lived, is a place I'm very familiar with, and have spent many happy times roaming those raw, desolate, beautifully rugged moorlands that centre around the story.
Written in 1847, this tale of passion ,love, anger ,regret and ghostly tragedy, was way before it's time in my opinion, and evokes emotion that I have always found captivating. Quite a story coming from a Victorian parson's daughter, who remained a spinster throughout her life!...Emily Bronte, indeed feeds my mind and imagination..:)

Feel and hear the laboured breath of a lost, sick soul
As it sends shivers to your heart...
And let Emily feed your mind

Walk with her over craggy rugged, devil's soil
Where the crying wind meets the weeping rain
The darkness senses it's winter's mood, as the Gothic moon seduces

As they dance to the tragedy of love and lust and hate
The beguiling written legacy of a nineteenth century girl
And turn her pages of time...
