Some time ago i've bought a rather cheap flat bed trailer, simply because i needed one. In this country, trailers don't require safety inspection and/or registration, therefore old and cheap trailers are usually not so well looked after. This one had fresh paint, car tyres, noisy bearings, questionable brakes and messy electrics.
A brief check showed some braking, indicators and brake lights worked, the tyres looked ok for the empty weight, overall it appeared fairly safe to pull it away with care. so i made the deal.
On harder braking, one wheel always locked up, and there was some resistance on reversing, so the auto reverse needs attention.
At first sight it looked that just the brake cables need replacing and perhaps a bit of grease on the adjusters and reverse mechanism.
Well,...as always, a small job gets bigger and bigger,....so have a look what we found

Part 3 will be re-assembly and brake adjustment, electrics and misc. jobs still to come
