Because most governments refused to help, 4Chan’s Anonymous launched Operation SafeWinter, a worldwide campaign to save as many lives as possible during this crisis. With little time to act, Anonymous made a Twitter account and even released a video directing Anons on what to do.
The plan was simple: They would work with their local charities or businesses and begin distributing essential supplies to the homeless in their city.
It was perfect.
