Welcome to the eighth installment of our Getting Started Series! In this video, we dive into the Sweep Command to create the Bail Arm Wire while exploring advanced design techniques in Fusion.
Building on previous lessons, we’ll leverage existing components and introduce powerful tools such as Construction Geometry, Projections, 3D Sketching, and Plane Along a Path. You’ll learn how to:
Define a sketch plane using construction geometry and axis alignment.
Project geometry in multiple ways, including 2D outlines, 3D edges, and intersection points.
Use constraints and dimensions to ensure precision in your design.
Create smooth curves with arcs and apply fillets for refined shapes.
Activate 3D Sketching to connect components seamlessly.
Position a profile along a path and execute a Sweep for both simple and complex profiles.
We’ll also demonstrate how to update a sweep when switching from a circle to a hexagon profile, manage component visibility, and save your assembly efficiently. By the end of this tutorial, you’ll have a solid understanding of how to design intricate parts using advanced sketching and sweep techniques.
