On-Demand Configurations in Autodesk Fusion let you create a new configuration at the moment you insert a component, instead of building every possible row in the configuration table ahead of time.
This tutorial works through a configurable cabinet with variable height, shelf count, material thickness and appearance. Rather than pre-generating every combination of those options, you mark the columns you want people to control, then create each variation as it gets used. The new entries save back into the master configuration table automatically, nested as child rows under the configuration they came from.
Two things covered here that are easy to miss. The new Test row lets you try a combination of parameters without computing it, so you can check a variation before committing to building it. And before any of this works, you have to prepare the master file by marking theme table columns as customizable, which is the setup step the rest of the workflow depends on.
One current limitation worth knowing: only thade customizable. Parameter tables and
suppression cannot. If you need those exposede first, and disable the rules before you do.
