hello everyone!

i’m not ashamed to admit that this has been quite long in the making, with a big break in the middle, and it’s taken about 15 turns in different directions before it finally settled on its characters plot, more or less. what prompted this was - well, maybe it was just eivør’s music, i don’t even properly remember – i had an urge to make a "pagan“ multicrossover. what i do know is that i want to make a second video in this universe – while this video very much focussed on ragnar’s sons and other men, the second part would have the heroines of this world at its centre, the ones you already know, and some you don’t know yet. i wanted to use everything i had in one video, but it simply got too long, confusing and unfocussed.

the video mostly follows ragnar’s children, with a focus on his sons (for obvious voiceover reasons) – uhtred, asbjörn, slean, and daughter éowyn. [i know the title is "sons“ of ragnar, but voiceover, okay? :’’D and this does focus more on the three sons than on eowyn.]
the plot in a few simple words: ragnar is a famous king, nearly a legend, and all his children can do is try and live up to whatever expectations the world has set upon them. when slean betrays his father to their enemies and ragnar and asbjörn suffer shipwreck on rheda’s (their saxon enemy) land, ragnar is captured and killed. the children of ragnar invade to avenge their father, along with their allies jon and théoden (jon’s sister is married to uhtred and théoden’s daughter to slean).
