"Queen of Masks" : an original (planned) novel set in a mythical land, full of court intrigue, theatre, espionage, art, drama, romance and tragedy.

i am so done. this here is days worth of fight and struggle with rendering and exporting this, i just want this uploaded. it's only half as good as it was before the whole rendering bullshit - it looked so great and epic but i had to delete all the cool effects and the best overlay ;-; - and it physically hurts me that i had to cut this beautiful opening song to one minute, but thus were the rules. so sorry if this description is curt and awful; i might change it tomorrow.
i'm so sorry for being late for the deadline!

still, a little about the story of this. i have so many books in my mind :'D so many things planned out, i just need to write them (it'll probably take me 10+ years to get it all on paper/on the computer :p). "queen of masks" is the second book of a trilogy - which is, basically, three books that are interconnected, but not a trilogy in the original sense. first on the characters (these are only very very few and mostly those i had good clips of) :
natalie dormer - member of an "underground" acting/performing company who travel around and most of who have basic magic-like powers; she poses as a noblewoman at court, intrigues and power-play ensue

cate blanchett - the queen. a total badass who has had to win the throne back as a teenager in an eight year war after her family was slaughtered by usurpers when she was an infant (sounds very basic when you break it down, but it's actually a little more complicated than that :'D)

tom riley - a poet, playwright, artist and cartographer in favour with the queen; nat dormer's love interest, a spy

sophie turner - the younger of the queen's two daughters by a common blacksmith (born during the war, their mother is unmarried and the identity of the father is widely unknown), definitely not as innocent and naive as her age would suggest

alexandra dowling - daughter of one of the queen's most trusted councellours; married off at age 13 to a rich 60-something, the marriage was actually quite successful - she left as a girl and came back some years later as a savvy politician, groomed and raised by her husband, after whose death she has to defend her (secretly bastard) son's title

joanne whalley - rich-ass, kickass, badass pirate merchant who took over her abusive husband's business after killing him and doesn't even bother dressing up as a man, but is addressed as him anyways because the muder is tolerated and no one will openly acknowledge his death so she won't be tried for it

yup. the first novel would be called "queen of gallows" and takes place during the war, focussing both on the usurper queen and her household (+political maneuvering etc) and this queen's rise and the war in the countryside, ending, of course, with cate blanchett's bloody triumph; it also shows the subsequent problems that come along with having an unexperienced, untrained teenager on the throne.
the third is "queen of gold" and focuses on ali dowling's character; the plot begins somewhere during "queen of masks" and goes on for several years after that, following her life up to a certain point.
