In Morocco’s Tafilalt oasis, where water is disappearing and many young people leave for the city, Adil has chosen to stay.
Instead of depending only on crops weakened by drought, he revives a family tradition: beekeeping. His bees are not ordinary bees. They are Yellow Saharan Bees, a desert species adapted to heat, dry landscapes, and the deep flowers of the Sahara.
Adil moves his hives with the seasons, following the flowering of carob, almond, rosemary and lavender. This transhumance allows him to produce honey while protecting a way of life rooted in the oasis.
Around him, ancient water systems decline and modern pumps drain the underground reserves. But through bees, sheep and local knowledge, Adil proves that another future is still possible in the desert.
