Here we have The Rig Veda, translated by Wendy Doniger and published in the Penguin Classics series. This edition contains a small collection of hymns selected by the translator and it’s also annotated.
This paperback is bound in a glued perfect binding on non-acid free paper. The text size is medium and the paper is fairly thick. It is printed and bound in the UK.
Wendy Doniger is a controversial scholar due to her translations, her views on Indian history and her interpretations on religious Hindu scripture. However, I found this selection of the Rig Veda to be an okay introduction for the general reader.
