Abstract: Open-source development brings the Shiny community together and drives innovation. For us at Appsilon, it’s how we started, and we've stayed committed to open source ever since. Rhinoverse is a collection of compatible packages offering a comprehensive strategy for creating Shiny apps that are fast, reliable, and successful in the long run.
Over the last year, Rhino evolved from version 1.3 to 1.7, introducing features like simplified dependency management, support for React components, RStudio Addins and support for autoreloading. Meanwhile, in Rhinoverse there were 15 releases, adding new tools for telemetry, tables and empty state components. In this presentation, we'll showcase the most exciting new capabilities in Rhino and Rhinoverse, and what we're planning next. We'll also share some of the details of the decision-making processes behind these developments.
Our goal is to enhance Shiny app development, making it more connected and efficient - and this is made possible by listening to the community and collaborating on innovations! Join us to discover the latest in Rhinoverse and help shape where we're heading next.
