Abstract: One of Shiny’s major advantages is its ability to extend R functionality to a diverse user base. This is particularly beneficial in industries less acquainted with R and open source, where introducing potential new tools can feel like an uphill battle. At GSK, our team developed a new R package, {tfrmt}, to streamline table-making workflows. We then turned to Shiny to enhance its visibility and accessibility and created an application called {tfrmtbuilder}. The app enables users to build programmatic tables easily, even without programming knowledge. {tfrmtbuilder} also promotes collaboration by ingesting and generating language agnostic metadata, enabling table reproduction and further customization in either {tfrmt} or {tfrmtbuilder}.
