Abstract: The H2E app we've developed with BMC (Boston Medical Center) helps them to explore health equity in Boston by combining public health data with demographics. The app has various features such as creating health outcome models, mapping the health outcomes across census tracts and visualizing the health outcome across time. These are very strong tools that allows users to explore whether everyone, regardless of their background can achieve their potential well being. BMC also plans to make this tool open source. The app uses data derived from OMOP Common Data Model. So their vision is to make this app used by anyone that uses OMOP. In the talk we want to discuss:
- What is health equity and why it is important
- BMC's contribution to health equity in Boston (Health Equity Accelerator)
- How H2E app helps decision-makers (Demo, features)
- Vision for the future of the app
