For Kim Jarboe LaPean, director of communications and engagement in the Senior Vice Chancellor’s Office, it’s all about people. Kim has made a career out of humanizing communications and harnessing the power of storytelling in connecting with the UCSF community, engaging employees in creative and meaningful ways.

Kim is the recipient of the 2025 Chancellor Award for Exceptional University Service.
