Starting a farm costs less than you think — but more than just equipment.

5 Expense Categories That Make or Break New Farms:
Core Equipment ($2,500–$3,500): BCS tiller, broadfork, wheel hoe, harvest knives, hand tools, seeding supplies. Buy only what generates revenue in your first 90 days. Used equipment works fine 90% of the time.
