The 'purled' (or 'purl') cast on is the purl version - i.e. the reverse - of the popular knitted cast on method. If you know how to do the purl stitch, then you already know most of the steps of this technique :)
Apart from the main casting on lesson, I'll also be showing how the orientation of the cast-on stitches can make a difference to the finished result, and I'll also demonstrate how to speed up the method.
