This knitting tutorial shows you how to knit cords of any length that stick out of the front of your knitting. This pattern would create a fun texture on cushions, or even tentacles on an octopus!

For the specific pattern of cords shown in the video, I cast on a multiple of 4 stitches plus 5 (21), then followed this pattern:
Row 1) k
Row 2) p
Row 3) k2, C, *k3, C
Repeat until last 2 sts, then k2
4) p
5) k
6) p
7) k4, C, *k3, C
Repeat until last 4 sts, then k4
8) p

Where C = make a cord.
