This knitting tutorial shows you how to knit C2F (1/1 Left Cross) and C2B (1/1 Right Cross) cables, which are created by passing one stitch over another.
If the 1st stitch is passed in front, then the cable will travel to the left, and if the 1st stitch is passed behind, then the cable will travel to the right instead.

It's a simple concept because you just need to swap the position of 2 stitches before then working them. This method is definitely quicker and less fiddly that using a cable needle.
