The Punisher is often recommended as a great best 'em up for beginners to start with, and it was one of the first ones I cleared when I got into these games. Going back to it now, it's easy to see why. The Punisher himself has a large moveset that covers just about anything you'd want or need in these games, and he's also very mobile with a huge jump range. The game itself is very well balanced too, with no strange quirks to learn or egregious difficulty spikes. And it's not hard to clear either.
Capcom recently announced they'd be porting this to modern platforms as part of the Marvel vs. Capcom Collection that'll be coming out, so hopefully it'll be a nice gateway for more people to get into these games.
I actually enjoyed this more than I did when I first played it, so I'll probably do a run on the Japanese version with Nick Fury in a bit too. That one is at least a little bit different, but all I know off the top of my head is that your jumping kick has a flame property to it, which is cool.

Cyber Shadow is a new 2D ninja action game from Finnish developer Mechanical Head Studios, and published by Yacht Club Games. Its blatantly inspired by a number of retro action games (and even some modern ones), with Ninja Gaiden being the clearest example. It differs from the NES classics in a few ways, though. It has a bunch of health and magic upgrades to find, some permanent progression, and its relatively long in comparison. But I really enjoyed it, and I would recommend it to any action game fan. Its on Game Pass, so you have a very cheap option to try it out if youre interested.
Reusing the description I wrote for my boss video, Ill change it and fill in more detailed time stamps later today.
