Final Fight LNS Ultimate is a fan game created with OpenBOR, featuring nearly 70 playable characters from Capcom's beat 'em ups and fighting games. They've even included SNK characters, because why not?

Just place it in your saves folder and you'll be all set.
Ryu is pretty strong. Unlike Akuma, he gets all of the damage from his special attacks on the first hit, so he doesn't have to let the tatsumaki go on or cancel late on the dragon punch, etc. He's pretty simple to use. I like more combo oriented characters, so he's not one of my favorites, but he's fun enough.
