In Luke 12 Jesus told a parable about the dangers of all kinds of greed and coveting. His message was a clear warning. Are we using the Lord’s provision to store up earthly wealth, or investing in heaven through denying self and blessing others? In the parable a rich man was given even greater blessings and he kept it all for himself. Jesus called him a ‘fool’ and that very night God demanded his life. Jesus then taught about trusting God and treasure in heaven.
