Social media is constantly bombarded with monergistic Calvinists telling us how we are filthy, worthless, guilty, disgusting creatures deserving wrath, and others posting AI generated pictures of people screaming in a fiery hell as if this is a biblical portrayal of the heart of God. Some people seldom speak of the love of Christ for fear of being accused of diluting the issue of sin.
But Scripture tells us that Christ was motivated by a form of compassion so personal, powerful and gut-wrenching that He was always compelled to act. It compelled Him to preach to the lost, to reach out and touch a man with advanced leprosy, to heal thousands bringing joy to broken people. Christ never compromised with sin, but His love and compassion for those made in His image was His sole motivation.
