My video essay on the cultural influences on John Powell's HTTYD scores showed how the Sigur Rós and Jónsi piece “Odin’s Raven Magic” influenced the creation of Forbidden Friendship. It was used as the temp track because director Dean DeBlois is a friend of Jónsi. The track almost played in the Forbidden Friendship scene, but John Powell was inspired by it and based Forbidden Friendship off Odin’s Raven Magic instead.
So, this is the Forbidden Friendship temp tack placed back over the Forbidden Friendship scene from HTTYD 1.
