This is the third episode of a (currently) unrevealed mystery project. i am pretty sure that at some point, someone else comes along with the right guess. (Youtuber "Rolingmetal" already guessed it right...:)

This is a rather large project and this video series will just follow along the progress as it happens, obviously interrupted by other things with higher priority.
Due to it's complexity and the number of parts required, we would probably use any machine in the shop at least once.
On top of the mechanical bits there is also a fair bit of electrics/electronics and pipework/hydraulics to come with it.
All conceptual decisions are made and rough sketches are on paper, but availability of (cheap/free) materials and parts may lead to alterations, because the whole project runs on a shoestring budget by decision.
On a $50k budget anyone can build or even buy something like that off the shelf, but i want to spend much, much less than this, well see how the bill looks like at the end ...:-)
Part 1 shows some of the major components and how we going to make it.
Part 2 shows the first shaft finished and a quick mock-up, also starting the second shaft and testing some Chinese inserts
Part 3 shows finishing the second shaft, testing some more Chinese tooling and cutting the large piece of tube in half.
Next part should not take long to come as time is running
