This was honestly a movie I fully expected to hate because the more I was forced to see the trailer in the movie theater, the more I got so sick and tired of seeing it. But I am happy to announce that I actually ended up really liking the movie. James McAvoy knows how to do horror while bringing in a little bit of comedy, but still leaving somebody very uncomfortable and very frightened. This movie is definitely a slow burn. It’s a little over two hours or almost two hours, and nothing extravagant really happened until like the last 15 minutes. So while the slow burn parts are still good, it still got me intrigued, I do wish there was more cat and mouse in this. I really wanted to just see more of that. I haven’t seen the original film yet, but from what I’ve heard, people still really like this remake. So good for them.
