Rehab has gotten very passive
Meet them where they’re at with graded exposure and empower them to move actively
Where is the line between a medical professional and a trainer? Unexplained pain.

90% of people between 50-55 years old have age related changes in their spine (but 9/10 people don’t have back pain).
48% of people between 20-22 years old have age related changes in a disc, while 25% had a bulge (so there goes that “just getting old” analogy).
77% of healthy, pain-free hockey players have hip abnormalities shown on imaging.
20% of healthy, pain-free adults have partial rotator cuff tears.
“Need to clinically correlate” Findings on images need to line up with what you find with their movement.
