Developed by illusione, Park Acosta 161 is a residential project located in San Isidro, Lima, that reimagines architecture as a bridge between nature and urban life. Facing one of the district's most iconic parks, this building is designed with expansiveness in mind: open views to the greenery, abundant natural light, and layouts that extend the park's essence into the heart of each home.
Conceived by Llosa Cortegana Arquitectos, founded by Patricia Llosa and Rodolfo Cortegana, the project explores the relationship between the individual, the city, and the environment as a starting point for contemporary living in Peru. Their architecture integrates with the physical, social, and cultural context of San Isidro, crafting a sensitive response to the place and the era in which it is built.
Living here isn't about residing "in front of" the park, it's about living within it. The building nestles into the garden's core, stretching time and clearing any visual barriers ahead. This positioning allows dawn's light to reach most bedrooms, while twilight illuminates the social spaces, syncing with the day's natural rhythm in every room.
Materiality is at the core of the architectural experience. The exposed concrete in the facade, lobby, and balconies provides structure and character, bearing the traces of its construction process and engaging with light and shadow throughout the day. In kitchens and bathrooms, terrazzo adds texture, shine, and timeless elegance, while SPC flooring in the interiors offers visual continuity, warmth, and exceptional durability, balancing the concrete's solidity with the softness of daily life.
Each unit type is tailored to different ways of living, always prioritizing connection to the natural surroundings:
Garden Houses that blend the independence of a standalone home with the convenience and security of a building, featuring expansive terraces in direct contact with the garden.
Flats ranging from 90 to 225 m², with 2- and 3-bedroom options suited to various life stages, many offering direct park views for the space and comfort families crave.
Penthouses crowning the building as serene retreats overlooking the greenery, with bedrooms and intimate living areas on the lower level, and vast terraces linked to social zones on the upper, inviting views of treetops and the tranquility of green surroundings.
The building's elevation draws from geometries evoking ancient Peruvian structures, converging with influences from artists and architects like Rodríguez Larraín, Emilio Soyer, or Guillermo Málaga, reinterpretations of the past that shape the future through architecture. The facade plays with light and shadow to ensure climatic comfort and a subtle yet commanding presence in San Isidro's urban fabric.
