Beautiful and admired by all the boys in her village, Tenzin is still just a child. Yet, without her knowledge, her future has already been sealed. Her parents accepted the offer of marriage on her behalf, simply by drinking the ritual chang brought by strangers.

For Tenzin, there will be no discussion, no chance to refuse. She will have to leave her family, her friends, and the carefree world of her childhood. The weight of tradition decides everything: once the chang has been drunk, the girl must marry.

After a final farewell to her loved ones, she will be taken away on horseback to her new life.
