Our beautiful adventure continues in The Last Guardian... and this section put my heart through it. We keep climbing higher with Trico, surviving crumbling towers, masked creatures, guards, barrels that refuse to cooperate, and what I'm now calling the water temple section of this game. There's so much beauty here, but also so much emotional whiplash, from having to leave Trico behind to waking up alone and wondering where our best boy went. His horns are growing, his light feels stronger, and it really seems like something inside of him is healing while he does the same for us.
