The Hoard Hunt Event & Where to find Skulls & Bones! (FREE Killshot Operator Skin)
With the launch of Season 2 this morning a new event has started called horde hunt and in this video we’re going to take a look at how this event works and the rewards available.
So the event timer is bugged in game for me but we do know that this event will be running for at least the next few weeks.
There’s 4 different reward tiers i guess you could call them and we have to collect different items for each of them, As you can see at the moment the first two tiers are available to progress and then the others will be unlocked over the coming weeks.
The ones available at the moment are the Base Zombies & the Armored Zombies.
For the Base Zombies tier you need to collect Bones and as you collect them you’ll reach 8 different milestones and you’ll receive different acquisitions for Zombies at each milestone
So for 75 bones you’ll be rewarded with an epic aether tool
At 155 bones you’ll be rewarded with a speed cola perk
You’ll get deadshot daqiqurie for 310 bones
An epic aether tool for 625 bones
The Juggernog perk at 1250 bones
A Legendary aether tool for 2500 bones
The elemental pop perk at 5000 bones
And once you’ve collected 10000 bones you’ll unlock a Ray Gun Case
Once unlocked you’ll be able to find all of these in the rewards section when selecting stuff for your backpack in MWZ.
For the Armored Zombies there’s only one milestone and this is for collecting 600 Skulls, Once you’ve done this you’ll unlock the Tiny Screams Weapon Charm.
Like i say in the coming weeks these other two tiers will become available and it looks like we’ll need to collect items from hellhounds for the first one and then something from killing mimics from the last.
As you you can see for the Hellhounds tier we’ll be able to unlock the Dogs of Hell Calling Card and then for the Mimic tier we’ll unlock something called cursed ammo which i have no idea what that is but could potentially be like a skin for a munitions box or something as they seem to be starting to add stuff like that into the game.
The mastery reward for this event is this skin for operator swagger called Killshot which is actually really sick free skin, To unlock this all you need to do is collect the skulls from the armored zombies and then whatever the hellhounds and mimics drop once they become available.
So if all you’re interested in the skin, Those are the 3 different items you’ll need to worry about.
In terms of collecting these bones and skulls, You can do this in any game mode that you want to. Whether that be Modern Warfare Zombies, Warzone or MW3 Multiplayer.
In MWZ as you kill zombies in any zone you’ll find that after every few that you kill they will drop 10 bones, So they’re easy enough to collect.
For the skulls this seems to be abit harder to get as you need to kill armored zombies in either the Tier 3 zone of from with-in the Aether Storm.
So for the bones you could easily farm these at a tier 1 exfil or outlast contract but for the skulls you’ll need to get geared up and head into the tier 3 zone in order to find armored zombies that will drop them.
For Warzone you can play literally any mode that you want to and you’re going to most commonly find both Bones & Skulls from opening loot crates or at least on the new fortunes keep map you could also do the Eradication Contract which spawns zombies you can kill which will drop them for you.
For MW3 Multiplayer, The only mode you’re going to find these skulls and bones in is the new Hordepoint mode, Basically zombies spawn as the point is being captured and then they’ll drop the skulls and bones as you kill them.
