The 15 FREE Faction Event Rewards & How to Unlock them! (Faction Showdown Event MW2 Warzone 2 DMZ)
This morning the new faction showdown event has started in mw2 and warzone 2 & will be live for the next 11 days until the 15th of August PST
In this video we’re going to take a look at how the event works and what you need to do in order to unlock all 15 of the free rewards available.
So there are two factions in this event, Shadow Company & Task Force 141 and both of these factions have 5 challenges to complete each with their own rewards and each faction has a mastery blueprint reward as well for completing the 5 faction challenges.
You can do these challenges in any mode that you want to but obviously it’s going to be easier to do them in say multiplayer than it is DMZ as your kills for these challenges need to be on other real players.
Aswell when you are doing these challenges you need to make sure that you have the correct faction selected as otherwise they won’t track progress.
So if you're doing the Task Force 141 challenges make sure you have that faction selected in the events tab or if you’re doing the shadow company challenges make sure to switch to that one. When you do have a faction selected tho, you can do their challenges in whichever order you’d like to.
So for task force 141 the first challenge is to get 50 operator kills which rewards the soaps 141 emblem.
The next is to get 10 longshots with battle rifles on operators which will reward the Smoke Break Loading Screen.
The third is to get 40 ADS or Aiming down sights kills on operators with any assault rifle which will reward the Ghost Vapor Vehicle Skin
The 4th challenge is to simple get 3 operator kills with melee weapons which will will reward the Task Force 141 Weapon Charm
And the 5th challenge is to simply execute a finishing move which will reward you with one battle pass tier skip.
After completing each of these 5 challenges you’ll then unlock the Battle Worn Blueprint for the Bas-P sub machine gun as the mastery reward
Moving over to the Shadow Company Challenges
We’ve got get 50 operator kills to unlock the Shadows Ready Loading Screen
Get 15 Kills While focused with sniper rifles which means you need to kill people while scoped in holding your breathe with any sniper and this will reward the Bloody Rook Weapon Decal.
The next is to get 15 operator kills from behind using an SMG which will reward the Knight’s Charge Vechile skin for the new MRAP
Next is to get 10 operator kills with launchers which will reward the force vs shadow weapon charm
And the 5th challenge is to get 5 operator kills with lethal equipment which rewards one battle pass tier
The mastery blueprint reward for finishing these 5 challenges is the Shadow Lance Blueprint for the LAB Sniper Rifle, Which oddly enough is actually a blueprint from a paid bundle so make of that what you will.
As you’re completing these challenges depending on which faction you have selected the operator kills you’re getting will be contributing to the community section of this event
Basically whichever faction has the most kills at the end of the event will have 3 bonus rewards available but you will only unlock these rewards if you’ve completed all 5 challenges for the winning faction.
So for Task force 141 the winning rewards will be a operator skin for soap, A universal Camo called Polished as well as a double battle pass xp token.
For Shadow Company the winning rewards will be an operator skin for Horangi, A universal camo called Blood Cell and a double battle pass xp token.
As of making this video the shadow company faction has a slight lead against task force 141 but that could easily change over the next week or so
