I’ve been streaming almost daily over on Twitch.tv/covertMF and most recently i’ve been grinding to unlock The Royal Helix camo which in my opinion is one of the best camos you can unlock in the game right now.
This camo looks cool enough when you’re in a well-lit area but it really goes to that next level when you’re somewhere the lighting isn’t as great as the skulls on this camo glow super bright and it looks AWESOME.
With how awesome the camo is, What’s not so awesome is the grind it takes to actually unlock it but in this video i’m going to share some tips & tricks with you that will make your life much easier & your grind towards it much shorter.
So with season 4 they added Warzone rewards to the challenges tab in the social menu, There’s 4 different sets of Warzone Rewards but the ones to unlock the royal helix camo falls under the Modes category.
There’s 4 challenges in this category and you need to complete the first one before the next will become available & so on and so fourth with the final challenge unlocking the camo itself.
The first challenge is to simply complete 10 games, Now you can just play these out normally and maybe chip away at other challenges while you’re playing but if you’re trying to get this done quickly then i’ll show you something cheeky you can do which will not only help with this challenge but also the second challenge which will become available after those first 10 game.
What you want to do is load up plunder in the menus and make sure that you’ve got squad fill turned off , once you’ve done this you can then start the game.
Once the game starts all you need to do is simply kill one other player and then kill yourself and after that you’re free to leave the game and it will count as having ‘completed’ an entire game, so rather than having to wait 20-30 minutes for the game to end you can do this and smash through this challenge much quicker.
Like i say you can do this for the first challenge of completing 10 games and then once you’ve done that the same strat works for 2nd challenge which is to complete 20 different plunder games.
The third challenge is to Reduce Respawn Time in Resurgence, So this one can obviously only be completed with-in Resurgence game modes.
What it means is by reducing the respawn time is when your team mates die in this mode, They have a timer until they respawn.
While they are dead and you’re alive anything you do such as getting kills, opening crates, spam buying plates from a buy station or just simply running around is going to take time away from that getting them back into the game quicker.
So you have to do 500 seconds worth of actions to reduce the timer of your team mates to complete the challenge.
To make this easier you could have a friend play with you and they just die to fall damage over and over again giving you the chance to reduce their cooldown over and over or if you can’t find someone else to help then jumping into resurgence quads would be the best option.
Having more team mates gives more of a chance for one of them to be killed giving you the chance to reduce that cooldown timer.
The final challenge is to Reach Top 10 without entering the gulag in a single battle royale match 20 different times.
Now at face value this one seems pretty difficult but at the moment Buy Back Solos is available and this mode counts as playing Battle Royale but there is no gulag in this mode, You respawn back into the game as long as you have $4500 on you.
So just alone by playing this mode rather than other BR modes, Its going to be much easier as it doesn’t matter if you die or not because there is no gulag, so really all you need to be worrying about is placing Top 10.
The strat that i’ve been using which works for Buy Back Solos but would also work for just regular BR playlists if buy backs is removed, is at the start of a game i look for a scavenger contract that is close to bunker 10 kind of near the levin resort or abit further south.
