One in particular "The Hendy Head" found on the isle of Anglesey is according to a prominent archaeologist and academic, is still venerated by "The Followers of Gwdyion". This belief system which at one time used the stone carved head as a central part of their practice, recognise their beliefs as belonging to "The Old Religion". The teachings and practice of which was handed down orally through the generations and claim that it forms a part of the religion that was practiced in Britain prior to Roman Occupation.
