Today I face off against Kenjo's "Big Kenjo" 6-7lb Texas BBQ Sandwich Challenge!!
In the fifth episode of my Oklahoma/Texas trip, I'm in Angleton, Texas, just south of Houston, at Kenjo's BBQ. Established in 2013, Kenjo’s has built a strong reputation for serving authentic Texas-style BBQ, featuring slow-smoked brisket, pulled pork, house-made sausage, and other classic favorites cooked low and slow. Everything is made with care, from the meats to the homemade buns and sides, giving the place a true hometown BBQ feel. It’s a must-visit stop for anyone looking for quality BBQ in Brazoria County.
The "Big Kenjo" Challenge features a massive BBQ sandwich weighing roughly 6–7 pounds, stacked with one pound of smoked brisket, two pounds of Kenjo’s homemade sausage, one pound of pulled pork, and one pound of BBQ pulled beef. All that meat is topped with a mountain of coleslaw mixed with sriracha sauce for a little heat, then squeezed onto a large house-made bun. Challengers have one hour to finish everything to earn the $90 meal free, a t-shirt, and a spot on Kenjo’s social media Wall of Fame.
