Today I face off against Social Honolulu's 7.3lb "Social Moco Showdown" Challenge in Honolulu, Hawaii!
In today’s episode, I’m on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii, in the city of Honolulu, visiting the restaurant Social Honolulu. Located in the Ward Village shopping area, this vibrant restaurant and bar is known for its laid-back, social atmosphere and creative take on local comfort food. Situated on the second floor with convenient FREE parking, it’s a popular spot to grab great food and drinks, catch a game, or hang out with friends. The menu features a mix of bar favorites and Hawaiian-inspired dishes, from garlic bacon and kimchee fried rice to uni mentaiko pasta, oysters, and the classic loco moco, plus happy hour specials and a solid lineup of signature cocktails. With lively vibes, friendly service, and plenty of options beyond just the challenge, it’s a must-visit when you’re in Honolulu.

The "Social Moco Showdown" Challenge features a supersized version of a loco moco weighing over 7 pounds. The challenge includes three different rice bases, garlic bacon fried rice, kimchee fried rice, and white rice topped with grilled onions and mushrooms. On top of the rice are four large beef patties, a thin, crispy layer of corned beef hash, four fried eggs, and rich Hawaiian brown gravy, along with four sides of macaroni salad. The official time limit is 30 minutes, and finishing everything earns you the meal for free, a swag bag, and a spot on their Wall of Fame.
