I don't know if this is normal, but I like to buy broken things and try to fix them. Sometimes I can get a bit in over my head and there are parts that I just can't fix in my shop. Well that is changing now, if we can design it, we can make just about anything with very few limitations, simple or complex, it doesn't really matter, we just need to be able to create it and test it to make sure it works first.
