The End Of Something New

This is the last song release from my most recent album (released on 22 May 2022) called, You Can't See Me.
This song is about being stood up. Or a new relationship which has gone wrong. It came about when I heard a story of two people on their first date. Mid way through the evening, one of them chose to abandon their date and leave via the back door of the restaurant.
I found this to be a really interesting situation and crafted this song from the perspective of the person who had been left behind. I began thinking of all the questions a person might have in that situation and that prompted me to try to write each of the verses using only questions. The result is the End Of Something New.
Fully recorded and mixed in GarageBand on my MacMini.
There are just 21 tracks. Auto-drummer, Bass Guitar, Synths, Organ and Orchestral elements, Lead guitar, 2 Acoustic Guitars, Master vocal tracks and 4 backing vocal tracks. I had lots of fun using a quarter note tape delay on the main vocals and just letting it ring out. I also experimented with the Valhalla Supermassive plugin to add a warped effect to my voice as well.
The video was compiled in iMovie using free stock footage from Pixels and an overlay of me singing through the lyrics. I consider this video to be more of a placeholder as there is a plan in the future to turn this song into a short film/music video.
