WAITING FOR A MOMENT

This was a real treat for me. The ultimate collaboration.
My Daughter decided she wanted to write a song the other day.
She sang me some of the lines and the melody she had thought up, so we sat down and wrote the lyrics out and I worked out some chords and helped her with some of the song structure. But essentially, this song is entirely her creation.
We finally hit the studio and had a lot of fun recording her vocals. In turn, she was my sound engineer and helped me with recording the guitars and giving me helpful tips along the way. She even wrote out her version of bass tab to help my playing Lol.
Recorded, mixed and mastered in Garageband on MacOS.
Isla sings the lead vocal over my backing vocals and I cobbled together everything else, including an attempt at playing the harmonica.
Her brother was the music video director and camera person and enjoyed his behind the scenes role.
We all had lots of fun on this project. Hopefully it has inspired her to write and record more in the future... Hmmm... I may have to roster our studio time if she ever gets serious LOL
