Scenes from above Midlothian and Cleburne, Texas, of the ongoing scrapping operations of BNSF EMD SD70MAC locomotives. With newer, and more cost effective rebuilt locomotives on the network, BNSF has started selling their SD70MAC locomotives to the highest bidder.

Dating from the 1990's, and mostly used for hauling heavy coal in the Powder River Basin, most of these locomotives have not seen service in many years, having been stored in Wyoming.

You'll see some of the morning scrapping at the Gerdau Midlothian Steel Mill, as well as the locomotive deadline in nearby Cleburne, Texas.
