When you exercise, a number of things happen to provide you with the necessary oxygen and glucose. A lot of tis occurs in the muscles when they contract, but our breathing rates can also increase the amount of oxygen in our body to allow for aerobic respiration. Glucose is produced when the muscles break down glycogen.
