Pretty much everyone knows that the League of Nations was not exactly a success story... economic and especially otherwise, as World War 2 made it clear.
As such, this video will help you better understand why the League of Nations didn't succeed and that brings us to a natural follow-up question: what about today's United Nations?
From many perspectives, a case could be made that the United Nations has a bit more potential than the League of Nations but as you're about to find out... nothing in this world is perfect, including the United Nations.
In just one minute, the League of Nations and the United Nations have been explained, primarily from an economic perspective. By better understanding these two institutions, you'll be in a much better position to make connections with respect to the economics behind them.
Can we be certain that the United Nations will not suffer the same fate as the League of Nations? Unfortunately, no, we cannot. We can (and should) however do our best!
