Most players only ever practice the outside cut.
But defenders don’t always give you that option.

The inside cut is a more demanding movement. It requires greater control of angles, force production through the inside edge of the foot, and confidence to attack space that feels less familiar.

Ignoring it means you’re only developing half of your change of direction ability.

Training it expands your options, increases unpredictability, and makes your on court movements far more difficult to lock down.

Obviously, you need to train this skill on court but the weight room provides an opportunity to increase your bodies capacity to handle the demands and provide contexts/ constraints to enhance skill development.
