In Augustus Cordoba’s chilling tale, geological contractor Colin Grimes is sent to Afghanistan’s Bamiyan Valley on what should have been a routine investigation. Instead, he and his team uncover vast, ancient chambers that hold far more than stone and dust.
Beneath the earth lies a relic steeped in darkness: a crown said to corrupt any who wear it, twisting ambition into tyranny and whispering with a voice older than civilization itself. As the mission spirals into terror, Grimes realizes the truth of what they’ve disturbed is far worse than he ever imagined.
Today’s fabulous offering is ' The CIA Sent Us to Investigate a Cave System in Afghanistan’, an original story by Augustus Cordoba, kindly shared directly with me via email for the express purpose of having me exclusively narrate it here for you all.
