Wan Zuocheng and his wife Hong Gengxiang run a back-alley kitchen near a hospital that treats cancer patients in China’s eastern province of Jiangxi. For just 3 yuan (43 US cents), patients and their relatives can use the kitchen facilities to make home-cooked meals instead of eating hospital food. Many people who use the kitchen say it is a godsend that helps their recovery.
