This covers 40+ years of hands-on prospecting experience, from tertiary channel placer deposits to hard rock load gold.

- East Fork San Gabriel Mountains (San Gabriel River) — old tertiary channel benches, horseshoe mine area, the Narrows for sniping/detecting
- Lytle Creek — old adit with free mill gold, Cajon Pass/Echo Pass bedrock
- Holcomb Valley — placer and lode, Gold Hill area
- Mother Lode Country (Mineral Bar, Yuba/American/Klamath rivers)
- Bear River near Colfax, Dutch Flat, Gold Run
- Kern River (bedrock exposure near the power plant)
