This is how annual firework show looked from the air in 2025 but tourists come from all over the world to witness this, especially in Reykjavik but this was shot in Akureyri, the capital of the north with a population of 20.000. The video starts just before midnight when the show is peaking but i recorded the sound with another camera from the ground with a decent microphone so you could get a better feel for this. $Road 551 In Iceland And The Cool Ice Road On The Glacier Langjökull Road 551 is very special because its mainly used to access the famous man made ice caves so it extends from the edge of the retreating glacier from June until September when it starts to snow again. Its fairly easy to get to the base-camp but the glacier it self is only usable for well equipped cars. We didnt go all the way to the ice cave because the trail became hard to spot and the glacier is very fractured this time of year so we didnt want to risk drifting from the safe trail that was still open when we were there in late August 2025.
